Work Hard, Play Hard at CCW 2017: 5 Must-see Vegas Attractions

Things to do at CCW 2017 Vegas

We are all looking forward to the CCW Conference in a few weeks. The expo will be a great opportunity to showcase the latest and greatest in call center innovation… but let’s make sure to have some fun while we are there!

We all know about the great casinos and nightclubs in Las Vegas but there is so much more to Vegas than gambling and partying. We’ve put together a list of our favorite five things you should not miss while you’re there for the convention.

Get a glimpse of the desert beauty

For those nature lovers out there, and even for those who are not the outdoor type, this is something you do not want to miss – a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon! Breathtaking, awe inspiring, heart-stopping and just absolutely magnificent are some of the words to describe this adventure.

Easily doable before the first conference break-out session, you can arrange to be picked-up via a stretch limo from your hotel as early as 7am and shuttled to the helicopter pad where you enjoy a 45 minute ride each way, soaring over the Hoover Dam, the mighty Colorado River and more. And the best part is that you land in the middle of the Canyon and get to enjoy a scrumptious snack, sip champagne and enjoy some of the most beautiful and stunning scenery that the United States has to offer. You’ll be back at your hotel by 10:30 am, before your co-workers even notice your absence.

Staff is super friendly, everything runs on time and while it may be a little pricey, it is an experience you soon will not forget. You can find all you need to know at http://www.sundancehelicopters.com/

Take a walk on the wild side

Vegas traces its roots back to the vision of infamous Bugsy Siegel, the notorious Lucky Luciano,  and the “Boss” himself Al Capone. At the Mob Museum, you can get a firsthand look at these shady characters and their involvement in the early days of the Casinos.

There are many wonderful and interesting exhibits and displays detailing the Mafia’s impact on the rise of the Casinos and their eventual downfall. The many captivating stories of the Mob fighting the government to keep control of the Casinos are all detailed in the museum and anyone with a bit of interest in history will surely be intrigued by this museum. The museum is  a short 12 minute ride from the Mirage hotel, so an easy outing during one of the conference  lunch breaks.

Take a spin in the car of your dreams

Ever want to get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini? Ever wish you can take that Ferrari out for a spin? Seems like a dream for most of us but in Las Vegas your dream can become a reality. Located approximately 15 minutes north of the Las Vegas Strip, at Exotics Racing you can choose your own exotic cars and take them for a spin at Exotic Racing (http://www.exoticsracing.com/). They have a fleet full of all the supercars that you can choose from. Take one or two or even more – put the “pedal to the metal” and take them for an exhilarating and thrilling drive around the track – it will keep you coming back for more! The racetrack is open 7 days a week, so make it a priority before catching your flight home from the conference.

Try something different for Happy Hour

It’s time to cool off, it’s hot out there in Vegas and a “cold one” will really hit the spot at Atomic Liquors, the oldest freestanding bar in Las Vegas. (The names comes from the fact that people used to sit and watch the nuclear testing explosions while sipping beer). They offer a host of craft beers off the tap and they keep changing from month to month so there is always something new and exciting there. The place has an old look feel, the people are friendly and it’s a great place to end a long day at the conference – they’re open until late. Take a look – http://atomic.vegas/

Satisfy your sweet tooth

A few calories never hurt anyone, especially when you’re in Las Vegas! So if you find yourself with the munchies after your last conference meeting, head over to the Donut Bar (http://www.donutbar.com/Las-Vegas/).  The variety of donuts is astounding and the flavors change on a daily basis, but everything is just downright delicious. Bite into a Creme Brûlée donut, savor a Peanut Butter Oreo, indulge in the world famous and award-winning Big Poppa Tart, or melt over a Mexican Hot Chocolate and Nutella one. There is something for everyone at the Donut Bar…..the diet will just have to start tomorrow.

So there you have it – five things that are a “must do” in Las Vegas. So drop a few bucks at the casinos, kick up those heels at all the nightclubs but then get out a little and enjoy the town, the surrounding area and all the wonderful attractions.

Last but not least, remember  what you’re in town for – if you’re looking to increase your first call resolution, reduce your technician dispatch rate or just give your customers a better support experience, stop in at the innovation hub and we’ll show you a demo of how TechSee’s visual support can help your business.
